Handing over the equipment to the athlete, Mr. Panos Alexandrou said: “Kition Ocean Marina is delivering the new IQ Foil equipment today to Iakovos and we wish him success for himself, for Cyprus and for sports in general. Larnaca Marina wanting to be close to athletes and nautical sports supports Iakovos, who is a young athlete with prospects and talent who shares his love for the sea and has big dreams and goals. Our purpose is to support the athlete initially with his equipment, buying him new professional equipment, and later helping him with other needs that will arise.”
On his part, the seventeen-year-old champion thanked Larnaca Marina for her decision to support his efforts for worldwide recognition. In particular, Iakovos Christofidis said: “I’d like to thank the Kition Ocean Marina for the purchase of my professional equipment, and I will try to bring as many successes as I can, but also participate in the development of the sport in Cyprus. Windsurfing is everything to me, it’s what I spend most of my time on, it brings me close to the sea, the waves and the feeling on the surfboard is something that blows me away. “
The delivery of the equipment took place within the framework of the athlete’s sponsorship agreement by Kition Ocean Marina. The sponsorship aims to strengthen the athlete’s effort to achieve the goals he has set for the coming years through his participation in major global events.
The delivery of the equipment was also attended by the Director of the Larnaca Marina, Captain Paris Dimitriou, and Mr. Andreas Christofidis, father of the athlete.

I hope this year the children will enjoy beautiful moments that they enjoyed the last time we organized this event.”
Finally, the Director of Larnaca Marina Capt. Paris Dimitriou speaking on behalf of the sponsor noted: “Today, Larnaca Marina is present along with P.O.N.ATHA. because the sea is a hug for everyone and especially for children. This was followed by lunch at the Larnaca Marina where the children shared their experience and asked the Captains questions.
The event aimed to offer the children of the Group’s organization a unique experience and help them to be inspired and engage more with the sea.
