Larnaca Marina supports the Livadia Children's Home by donating a PlayStation 5

Marina Larnacas, continuing its rich social responsibility program is supporting  Livadia Children’s Shelter by donating a PlayStation 5 to the children of the shelter.

Specifically, on February 23, the Director of Larnaca Marina, Anastasis Filippou, visited the Livadia Children’s Home, and delivered the gift by participating in the Home’s carnival party. Larnaca Marina offered various treats to the children as well as the promise of support for the shelter and the children’s needs.

Mr. Filippou emphasized that “The company actively participates in supporting those in need, and tries to offer where this is possible”

For the family of Marina Larnaca, this special day marks the beginning of a special year of giving, hope and love for children!  We give to those in need… we fill our hearts with hope!

Lifeguard Tower

March 2022

Kition Ocean Marina, in the context of its Corporate Social Responsibility in the city of Larnaka, proceeded to the construction of a state-of-the-art lifeguard tower. The tower is located on the famous Finikoudes beach. The impressive tower was handed over to the Larnaca district administration in a modest ceremony.  On this occasion Kition Ocean Holdings underlined once again that it will continue to demonstrate high interest and dedication in the effort to upgrade life in the city of Larnaca.

European Maritime Day 2022 in Cyprus

Kition Ocean Marina was the sponsor of the event  “European Maritime Day in Larnaca”.

The “European Maritime Day in Cyprus” is an event that celebrates the Sea and is supported by the European Commission.

The goal of the “European Maritime Day” is to reconnect youth and people of all ages with the oceans through several interactive, entertaining educational, environmental and artistic activities.

The aim is to organize a series of activities related to the sea and raise awareness of the importance of protecting the sea and the marine environment, as well as promoting ocean literacy. It is worth noting that the “EMD” will be organized in combination with the “Kataklysmos Fair” in Larnaca, which is a festival for the sea. The events take place from 09/06/2022 to 13/06/2022.

The Pancyprian Offshore Nautical Club Event “Open sails...Boats full of smiles"

The Pancyprian Offshore Nautical Club (P. O. N. A. THA) organized the event “open sails… Boats full of smiles” with great success on Saturday, 9 of July at 9:30 in Larnaca Marina. The event was attended by the institutions of  Agalia Elpidas Foundation – Cyprus Organization of Parents and Friends of Children with Cerebral and Other Paralysis and the “Right to Hope” Center of Disabled Adults.

The event was sponsored by LarnacaMarina.

The children along with their parents and friends boarded 8 boats and from Larnaca Marina sailed into the Bay of Larnaca where they enjoyed the Finikoudes coastal front, and the Medieval castle saw the planes up close and learned from the captain’s secrets of sailing.
A modest ceremony took place before the maritime in which they addressed a salute, on behalf of the Mayor of Larnaca the City Vice Mayor Mr. Iasonas Iasonidis, the president of P. O. N. A. THA Mr. George Kazanos, and the Director of Marina Capt. Paris Dimitriou.

Followed by lunch at Larnaca Marina where children shared their experiences and asked questions to the Captains.

The event aimed to provide the children of the Club organization with a unique experience and help them be inspired and more engaged with the sea.

Delivery of equipment from Kition Ocean Marina to windsurfer champion Iakovo Christofide

Larnaca Marina is the proud sponsor of Iakovos Christofides, IQFoil Athlete.

In a modest ceremony held at Larnaca Marina on Thursday, August 4, 2022, it was handed over by the founder of Kition Ocean Holdings, the company that took over the Project of regeneration of the Marina and the Port of Larnaca, Mr. Pano Alexandrou the Iq Foil equipment to the Iakovo Christofide athlete.

Who is Iakovos Christofides

Iakovos Christofidis turned 17 this July. He is one of the upcoming talents of Cyprus Sports. His aim is to stay consistent in his performance and continue to evolve and improve to ensure his participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. He is an athlete of the Kyrenia Naval Club and fights with number 17. The young champion in August will change his category and follow the IQ Foil category with which he can participate in the Olympics. He recently participated in the Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games in Algeria and won a tenth place. He has been engaged in windsurfing since the age of nine and for the last two years, he has been in the T293 category. The prospect he had is excellent considering that in his first international participation, Jacob was ranked 5th in the Pan-Hellenic Games in July 2021 while in August of the same year at the Pan-European Games in Tallinn 90 athletes participated she also finished in 5th place. In November 2021 the World Games in Italy (Garda) finished in 7th place among 90 participants. While at the European championship held in Cagliari, Italy, he finished second.
